Privacy
RNews1 processes account details, billing identifiers, feed preferences, recipient subscription records, and professional contact information used for permitted business outreach.
For audiences uploaded by a customer we also process business contact details — name, job title, employer and industry — obtained from the upload itself or from business data providers. These are used for two purposes: choosing which stories appear in a person's newsletter, and selecting which advertising that newsletter carries.
Advertising selection happens on our servers at the moment an issue is built. Advertisers specify the roles and industries they want to reach; they do not receive your details, cannot see who was shown their advertising, and no contact data is sold or shared with them. We record whether an ad was opened or clicked, for delivery reporting.
Newsletters are sent because a customer has stated they are entitled to contact you. If you did not expect one, the unsubscribe link in any issue stops it immediately and permanently, across every RNews1 customer — not only the one who added you. You can also write to support@example.com and we will suppress your address and tell you which customer supplied it.
OpenAI processes the professional fields needed to produce summaries and personalized copy. Mailgun processes email delivery. PayPal processes payments.
We retain subscription and billing records as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. We retain minimal suppression records to avoid contacting people who opt out. Web and PDF copies of issues and reports expire after 30 days.
